Our spiritual cultivation is attuned to seasonal energies.

This four-hour practice near Falls Lake Woods will help us open our hearts to connect with nature—and with our true nature.  Your kind donation will graciously support our Raleigh Center.

Elders Retreat (ages 65 and up)

Sep 17 (Wednesday, 10 AM - 4 PM)

Have you ever heard the Buddhist joke that goes, "If there's no self, then who is it that has my arthritis?” Does advanced age necessarily entail limitations and contractions; can it also bring about expansion of self and spirit? What do the scriptures tell us about the stages of life? Might the last stage turn out to be the most meaningful?

Join us for a day-long retreat in which we focus and meditate on issues surrounding aging, including the concept of "no self" within the context of the meaning of death. We will also explore meditation postures that accommodate aging bodies.

This retreat will also include a meditation on “Letting Go,” which could include releasing attachment to things, habits, and routines that keep us from living fully in the present moment.

Suggested donation: $20-50
