Children’s Sunday Meditation
Every Sunday except the first Sunday of the month | 10:00–11:15 AM
Children’s Sunday Meditation is a weekly program for children ages 6 and up, held at the Chapel Hill Temple. While parents and guardians attend meditation and dharma service in the Dharma Hall Building, children gather in the Residence Building for their own age-appropriate practice and activities.
The program includes chanting, lying-down meditation, quiet sitting, and yoga stretching. Depending on the week, children may also enjoy a tea ceremony, arts and crafts, or outdoor activities.
Please send your child with $1 for the weekly DANA offering. This shared act of generosity helps support children in other countries. Snacks are provided. If your child has specific dietary needs, please send an appropriate snack with them.
We are looking forward to offering our children’s dharma camp again this summer!
To support a strong sense of community and connection among the campers, we ask that your child attend the program fully from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Consistent participation helps children build friendships and share in the full experience together.
We greatly value creating a nurturing environment to nurture our children’s well-being and curiosity about the world! Our camps are geared to embrace the wholistic Threefold Practice for kids—cultivating equanimity, inquiry, and mindful actions throughout each day. Please share this opportunity with your friends and neighbors.
In this Children’s Camp, our campers will experience a variety of mindful practices through sitting and moving meditation, cooking, arts, and crafts. The activities will be held outdoors and indoors.
** Registrations will be confirmed upon receipt of payment. If possible, please consider paying the maximum fee so we can offer support to families in financial need.
· If you cancel 2 weeks or more before the camp, your payment will be fully refunded.
· If you cancel less than 2 weeks in advance of the camp, a nonrefundable credit toward future NC Temple programs is available. No credit or refund is available if you cancel on the day of the camp, or if you leave the camp early for any reason.
For questions, please call us at 919-933-6946 or email us at wontempleNC@gmail.com.

** Registrations will be confirmed upon receipt of payment.
