10 days bowing practice (April 18-27): Towards the day of Great Enlightenment celebration, (April 29th) the biggest annual celebration of Won-Buddhism, you are welcome to join our bowing practice (prostration) 108 times at 8:30 PM during these nights.
Full-Bowing is known as one of the yoga forms. The significance of 108 is the number of our agony and delusions in our mind. Through these bowing, we release the heaviness, cravings, and delusions in our mind and heart. Also full bowing practice is known to be good for your physical transformation (back muscle strengthening, weight loss, etc).
- April, 18-20 (8:30 PM): introduction and guidance of bowing methods with 50 times bowing
- April, 21-27 (8:30 PM): 108 Bowing practice
- April 28 (Saturday, 10 AM- 5 PM): All-day meditation in honor of Sotaesan’s great enlightenment and our potential buddhahood.
- April 29 (Sunday): Great Enlightenment Day Celebration Service with meditation, dharma talk, music, and lunch
